Entomolgy, Frankenstein, collection and the inevitable desire to control our surroundings are the prime themes in this series. This work explores the idiosyncratic urges collectors retain while gathering the perfect specimen, the ratios of segments, color, structure, and symmetry. I am attracted to how we use technology to design organic/inorganic materials to adapt the existing world to accommodate our needs. “version 2.0” is a rendition of digital composite photographs designed to emulate concepts surrounding bioengineering.
